ORTHODONTIC RELATED SURGERY

There are various surgical procedures that may be required to complete your orthodontic treatment. You will be referred by your orthodontist for these procedures to our office. Some routine procedures include dental extraction, exposure of impacted teeth or exposure and bonding of impacted teeth.

Dental extractions are sometimes needed to make room to properly treat the dental crowding. Other times, an impacted tooth needs to be brought into the mouth. In order to accomplish this you may be referred for exposure of the tooth or exposure and bonding. This procedure involves partially uncovering the tooth and placing a bracket onto the tooth for your orthodontist to bring the tooth into the proper position.
